The Serious Matter Of Hell

 {first off, yes I remember you Luin Thallion from lamb cafe days!  Will indeed pray for you.  Likewise, this has been an intense season for me and mine, and many I know, including several that have departed.  Thank you for commenting and checking in, Lamb Cafe OG! :)}

I am compelled, and dare say, directed to reiterate a certain conveyance.  

It is not something I expected, or wanted, or imagined.

But when He deigns to talk, communicate--ooh boy!  I shut up and listen, as much as (albeit feebly) able.

For whatever reason, He continues now and again . . . to show me Hell.

It is beyond horrific imagination.  It is dreadful.

As Charles Peace--convicted murderer and thief, circa 1879, on his way to the gallows--said, upon hearing from the accompanying clergyman what judgment was next in store, he said: "Even if England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would walk over it, if needs be, on hands and knees, and think it worthwhile living, just to save one soul from the eternal Hell 'such as you describe'."\

THAT is putting it mildly!

Dear friends and compatriots and any who shall hear . . . I have been shown the utter desperate, desolate condition of those who choose and find their way to Hell.  

As I've previously mentioned, one would be happier to find oneself in a burning pit of flames being tormented by demons with barbed pokers, rather than the complete desolation that it actually, wholly is.

God is GOOD.  THAT must be said straightaway.  The problem is, is that we are bad.  The two cannot mix.  HENCE the need and purpose of the Messiah, the Savior!

Bereft of God's blessings and Presence, in Hell, there is only one's fallen, rotten pin-prick of a self, ruminating.  No air, no hope, no escape, no recourse, no more grace, no pleasure, no joy, no quenching of thirst . . . constricted, consigned to a cell where you can't relieve any need or want FOREVER!

Someone needs to continue to sound the alarm!  Many have and still do.  But most shrug it off, deceived and sanguine in their spiritual lethargy and sense of self-righteousness. 

Indeed, the mortal mind and earthly sense of what is "fair", what is "proper", what a Good God "ought to do" immediately rushes to argue and defy and justify and placate and chagrin at God's own ways and purposes and being.

BUT, it is NOT that God is cruel or fearsome or a respecter of persons in a sadistic way, as many would assert.

No.

It is simply and purely THAT HE IS HOLY!  AND NO UNCLEAN THING CAN BE IN HIS PRESENCE!  It's just a fact!  You can argue all the day long that it shouldn't be that way, BUT IT IS!

The bottom line is, is that God is LOVE and HOLY and GOOD and THE ESSENCE of purity!  

And by the sheer fact of THAT, and that WE are unclean, filthy, sinners, selfish, degenerate fallen creatures, it is simply and purely and righteously the truth . . . that we CAN NOT, and deserve NOT, and are (in and of ourselves) unworthy and incapable . . . of being in His eternal presence.

I know. 

That makes the rebel and the fool mad, resentful, enraged. . . . 

That makes the self-serving carnal beast chafe and shake fists at the sky, at GOD!

Hence, there becomes those who rebel and think and connive to have a "better" idea. . . .

Well . . . look at the state of this world and what has become of THAT hubris and rejecting impetus!  The worldly horrors and atrocities widespread now are the result of that ongoing insurrection.

THANK GOD The Lord Jesus . . . bore ALL of the sins of ALL, and suffered beyond any mortal comprehension and made a Way for the God worshipping and God loving and Godly submitted to escape the inevitable, terrible damnation.

The fear of The Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom!

It is NOT a fear similar to such as those who are, ie., fearful of a cruel, capricious father or superior.

No.

It is a RIGHTEOUS fear which recognizes that GOD, THE CREATOR is HOLY and unique--other than we mere creatures.  

We are blessed with the opportunity to imbibe in and share and be a part of His eternal glory.  But we CANNOT be in His presence or in HIS holy realm, unless we are perfect as He is perfect.

Hence the majesty and grace and mercy and loving sacrifice that The Son deigned to do and did!  HE TOOK ON ALL of our wretched, fallen, base criminality, crimes against the one and only Holy God!  And He makes us pure as He is pure, spotless, holy!

HE did it!

We can't do anything to merit even a the minutest shred of warranting being with, and in, and among God's kingdom and presence!

Oh, you can argue all day long that it shouldn't be the case.  And for centuries, cabals and rebels have been trying to change the reality of the situation--have challenged God's sovereignty and character . . . but it remains, that God is the GREAT I AM, and He will do as He pleases.  And it obviously pleases Him to have created this world, us creatures et al, for HIS pleasure, and we are (blessedly) subject.

One either succumbs to that fact, or one fights and rejects it.

I am just saying, if you reject God, you are rejecting reality and goodness and holiness and all of the unfathomable, unending glory that He is.

And WOE! If you do!

What I have been shown (and I can only bare to sustain even a slight moment's glimpse of it) is beyond the worst of anything you can imagine.  I'm not imagining it.  I've seen it.  It is something you wouldn't wish upon even the worst of any enemy.  BUT it is what it is!  

HENCE, why the Savior and the prophets spoke and warned of it so continuously!

It truly is a serious matter.  It is THE serious matter!  Which, also is why there is so much diversion and frivolity and distraction blanketing the world today. Those who are already consigned to that place have only, for a time, a bit of desiccating pleasure left to drag as many others as possible, down to the abyss, along with themselves.

The seeker and lover of God stands apart, banking on Christ's holy saving mission, counting the various mortal, discomforting costs as nothing compared to what succumbing to the wicked and rebellious yields in Hell.

God blesses you now.  Take advantage of His grace while it is still day.  There comes a time when there is no turning back to do a re-do.  It is a serious matter.  And, trust me, I don't enjoy or ever expected to be, sounding such an alarm; but from what I'm being shown, I am compelled to shout and share the direness of the situation.
