There are so many "spirits" flitting and flying about. Many, many, times many are out and about like a plague of nefarious bats. Evil spirits of "the airs". They infest, grab hold at the behest of the father of lies.
There is one citadel. ONE fortress of protection, thank God! . . .
He is deep within, yet near as can be. . . .
If you've sussed it out by now, you know that you are behind enemy lines, a stranger in a strange land, a pilgrim on The Road--The Way (as it was known in the early days before the term "Christian" came into common usage) and miraculously yet being preserved against all odds (as "odds" are calculated in the realm of the enemy.)
It is merciful and astounding how many times you have been kept and preserved and rescued and sustained against such foreboding "odds", being but a child of faith in a world of ancient, powerful and ongoing corruption and evil. . . . Praise God He covers you in this rotten melee!
The Good Shephard is (as always has been) coming for, has, His sheep, His flock.
Do not despair.
Consider the many, many miracles and divine interventions He has done and continues to do on behalf of His beloved! MANY more than are recorded in the books of the mortal ledgers. . . .
You shall not be lost forever. Should you stray, become attacked and find yourself in a pit of vipers or a den of wolves or amidst the embodied demonic, no matter how filthy and assaulted and undermined and beset . . . THE LORD promised and promises that He will not lose a single one!
Do you enjoy the wicked fallen world and its minions? NO! YOU DO NOT! NEVER HAVE!
Yet, you can't help but find yourself in their midst, for this is currently the world of the evil prince, BUT NOT FOR REAL and NOT FOREVER! THEY--THE EVIL ONE and His abject God-hating comrades WILL get their just deserts. The White Throne Judgment . . . is . . . well, I've seen (was shown) but a portion of it, and that minuscule bit is beyond what the mortal mind and body ever encounters in this life, even in the worst of scenarios.
For while here, while now, while there is still breath . . . there is still God-given time to repent and HOPE and seek and love God.
THERE, in that infernal abyss . . . there is no hope. THAT is the horror of it. It's over. It is a final judgment.
AND THERE, you are left with your stubborn, wicked, fallen, sinful self, AND knowing that you deserve every bit of the results of your chosen and persisting, innate hatred of God.
And there's no going back to rectify.
THIS LIFE IS SERIOUS SPIRITUAL BUSINESS!
Do not listen to lies from the pagans who sugar coat this fleeting life, who say that there are other chances, more time to "get it right"--perhaps even "multiple lives" to progress and "ascend".
LIES! ALL OF THAT!
Nope. THIS is IT!
And it is obviously a battle, a war. You are a soldier in the cause, one way or the other. To NOT act on behalf of your King and Lord, is to accede and thus, secede with the perfidious, with The Rebel, against God Almighty, Most High and Holy One.
It ain't easy, this is understood, hence His mercy and sacrifice. . . .
But your eternal soul and spirit and mind and body, et al, depends on this one supreme acknowledgment--that JESUS IS LORD and that there is only One True God!
Hasten! Persevere! When YOU fall and fail and stumble, GET BACK UP, then get back down on your knees before The One True God of ALL, Yahweh!
If it were not so serious, then there is no real meaning to the reality that The Only Begotten Son Of God, and His apostles, and all the saints, and all the martyrs who saw The Truth, who put themselves, or allowed themselves to be run through such vicious, cruel abuse and calumnies and torture and more, were willing for that WITNESS to be subjected and testify, until the end, The Truth of WHO and what this whole thing is about!
IF THER WERE NO apostles or disciples or saints or martyrs . . . just what The innocent, holy, pure, loving LORD HIMSELF went through for our sake should be and IS enough to behold to understand the stakes that are at hand! Yet, in His grace and mercy, He gave us many signs and many histories of the devoted Believers to add exclamation to the witness and vision and knowing of His Eternal Truth and Being!
YES, His disciples and apostles and all the blessed Believers targeted and martyred or left alone, holding the line . . . through the long ages GIVE WITNESS that, with The Holy Spirit's inspiration, shows . . . clearly . . . the heavy and very real one main concern of this life and His Awesome Glory, which is the point of it all!
Many are called, few are chosen.
I apologize a bit for quoting a lyric I once wrote, recorded in my song "Captain Action" (about the 2nd Coming) but there is a line in there--and I advise taking the advice: "Y'all just better hop to be chosen!" Which alludes to the mystery of "choosing" and being "chosen".
I'll just end here with this: "HOP TO BE CHOSEN!" Get to it! Time is short, this life is short, and ALL the signs and knowledge and spiritual direction is here, so that none can say they didn't know.
