On Bowie....

A quick little note on Bowie. . . .
I'm seriously thinking he is not dead yet.  I can easily imagine him staging this whole big sha-bang . . . timing his "death" to be on the day before his lyrics in the song  "Girl Loves Me" . . . which are "where the f___ did Monday go?" appear so portentous . . . and with the whole "Lazarus" motif going . . . and clues here and there through the album and other observations (ie., how healthy and chipper he seemed leading up to the "death" day). . . ie, in the video for "Lazarus" where he backs up, scuttling backwards into the wardrobe, shutting the door (going away to hide again). . . . the 5 new demo tracks he just managed to get to Tony Visconti (which will obviously be part of yet another new album) and just knowing his personality as I do. . . . Well, I can imagine that yes, he perhaps has been given not long to live . . . but rather than be publicly seen to be withering away at the end, he stages going out all of a sudden . . . and slips away to some highly secret location, where just he and his family can sit back and watch all the adoration pouring in, the tribute shows and concerts--the high-tech equivalent of attending your own funeral in order to see all the praise and wonderful things people are saying about you....
He was purportedly cremated . . . which means no body, no viewing....
Then . . . maybe in 6 months, 8 months . . . he really does die, away from all the crowd, quietly. . . but after having the pleasure of watching his fans adore him in the meantime . . . for one, last, big time.....
He also might be thinking he may not die after all for quite awhile... Perhaps he is trying out some new, fancy longevity tech or experiements . . . to extend what was to be a death sentence due to cancer.... and then . . . if he happens to live such a way long enough, say 2-3 years.... he might feel comfortable to return . . . pull a Lazarus, so-to-speak . . . and stay for a while, continuing to work.....

Or not. . . . heh. . . .

Also, I think all of the knee-jerk analysis calling him a satanist and crowley-ite and occultist and all that is wrong.  He was an artist.  He described and analyzed things in the world.  I believe that all of the freaky symbolism in his recent videos which are being dissected by many . . . are mostly and simply just about himself, as usual. . . . He is not talking so much about big agendas and Luciferian rituals in a manner so as to be promoting them, as if he were an adept of such. . . . Mostly, he was just a fun-loving narcissist--.  He was infatuated with himself as are and have been so many others who are his fans . . . that's all.   He dictated the moods and experiences of his life, his life in fame, his life searching the mysteries of life, which, yes, did include looking at things occult.  But he was also quite Biblically literate, which many don't realize. . . . He may or may not have found Jesus in the end.  I know he sought for Him several times through his life along with his general search for meaning and truth. . . . He was certainly, admittedly conflicted about the whole thing, as are all who are yet to be born again, so long as they continue seeking. . . .

I don't believe he was any more "Satanic" than just about everyone else is (who is not born again)--he was just more honest and descriptive of what that means and the forces, spirit(s) involved . . . in and of the world. . . .

Anyway . . . if my theory is true . . . I think there will be clues yet to follow. . . .

If he's still alive he could still repent.

Thanks for that Bro T. Having just watched your playing "Heroes" with Westward the Tide again, the whole thing about Bowie's "death" did seem a bit sudden and surreal. And I had wondered too if he REALLY died from having such bad cancer it took him like that. But to your point, he was being quite creative lately, with some symbolism and hints toward what you theorized. That would be very 'Bowie' of him! After all he's killed off many of his former personas over the years. And perhaps knowing we'd accept the idea that terminal cancer can take you quickly (like Lemmy recently), he could either be on the way out or planning a return upon recovery.

Interesting....but is a reminder that life is short. We only have so long to get right with God and live our lives listening to His voice rather than our own ego.

Blessings - Lee
